IBM says the #1269 cannot be placed in a system unit or tower, while Midland describes #4329 as the system-unit and tower placement of the same drive.

IBM says the 282.25 GB drive is supported on POWER6 models and not formally on POWER5. IBM's CCIN cross-reference gives 4329 as the CCIN of the #1269 EXP24 drive; Midland describes #4329 as the same drive placed in a system unit or tower and names 9406, 8203 and 8204 systems.
