POWER6+
A later, higher-clocked refresh of the POWER6 processor, not a separate generation, reaching clock speeds up to roughly 4.7-5.0 GHz on some configurations.
POWER6+ is IBM's refresh of the original POWER6 processor, offering higher clock speeds, up to roughly 4.7-5.0 GHz on some Power 570 and Power 595 configurations, without changing the core architecture or core count. For support and migration purposes, POWER6 and POWER6+ are treated identically, both reached IBM end of service March 31, 2019.
